Yes they do look like UFOs. We’ve grown them before, usually the small yellow ones. Very tasty. I think a Crown Prince is difficult to beat, but of course they take up space which could be growing flowers 😉
I think the trick is to eat them really small – they balloon pretty quickly! I don’t grow squashes as I hate cutting them up (and I don’t have room for them) : )
That’s an impressive haul! We’ve not been there in nearly 15 years, since we used to live in surrey.

Yes, that is a lot of squashes! The ones in the front are patty pans. I grew them last year – they reminded me of spaceships!
