Chicken shop

Narcissus 'Tete a Tete' and crocuses outside Pizza East
Kentish Town

This caught my eye on the way to Parliament Hill the other Sunday. I liked how the writing doesn’t follow the contours of the container and so looks superimposed.

A week or so later I went for dinner at Pizza East next door. The little campanulas were looking distinctly worse for wear – they obviously haven’t liked the low temperatures we’ve had recently.

  1. That’s a great looking pot. I cant believe the campanulas looked like that at this time of the year (even if they have since taken a hit). The font reminds me of retro American diners. I do slightly envy the micro-climate of the city. Although I think I am happy to dip in and then come back o the quieter countryside.

    • I think the chicken shop is an American style diner, so the font is bang on! I should imagine those campanulas were freshly planted. I don’t think there’s much of a micro climate in London at the moment – I think it’s as cold as everywhere else, although we don’t have any snow…
