Looks familar

Hoxton

I found myself at the snazzy new Hoxton station this evening, and there’s a great view of this garden from the platform and escalators. It looked vaguely familiar, but it was only when I got to ground level that I realised it was the grounds of the Geffrye Museum. I love its period rooms and knew it had a herb garden but I didn’t know it had other period gardens too –  this is the 20th century garden. It looked pretty good today with the bergenias in flower (and are those tulips in the foreground?) but it promises to be at its peak in summer.
